Booking and acceptance
Shipments are accepted after written booking confirmation. Each shipment receives a unique tracking number in the format VSC-YYYY-NNNNNN, communicated in the booking confirmation email together with the shipping label and invoice.
Packaging
Goods must be packed to withstand normal handling in multimodal transport. Palletised cargo must be stretch-wrapped and banded; individual packages over 30 kg must be forkliftable. We can quote export packing on request.
Transit times
Indicative transit times: Benelux 24h; Germany/France 24–48h; rest of EU 2–5 days; intercontinental air freight 2–7 days; ocean freight per sailing schedule. Transit times start on the first business day after collection and are estimates, not guarantees.
Tracking and notifications
Every checkpoint in your shipment's journey is published to the online tracking page in real time. Email notifications are sent at booking, at every status change, and at delivery. SMS notifications are available on request.
Delivery
Deliveries take place on business days during normal working hours. A signature is required at handover; the electronic proof of delivery (POD) is available on request. Tail-lift delivery, timed slots, and private-address delivery are available as options.
Prohibited items
We do not carry: currency and bearer instruments, firearms and ammunition, illegal narcotics, living animals, human remains, and any goods whose carriage would violate applicable sanction regulations. Dangerous goods are accepted only with prior written agreement and complete DG documentation.
Insurance
Standard carrier liability applies as set out in our Terms & Conditions. All-risk insurance covering the full commercial value can be arranged at booking for typically 0.3–0.5% of the insured value (minimum premium applies).
