OUR STORY
Built at the Gateway to Europe
Vliet Shipping C.V. was founded in Rhoon, on the southern edge of the Port of Rotterdam — Europe’s largest and busiest port. What began as a small forwarding desk serving local exporters has grown into a full-service logistics provider moving tens of thousands of shipments every year by sea, air, road and rail.
Our roots shape how we work. In the port, promises are measured in sailing schedules and gate closings, not good intentions. We built our operation around that discipline: conservative routings, redundant carrier relationships, and an operations team that escalates exceptions within two hours instead of letting them wait.
Today we serve manufacturers, wholesalers and e-commerce businesses across Europe and beyond — with a 99.2% on-time record we defend jealously, and a tracking platform that gives every customer the same live view our own dispatchers use.
